Lafarge Lake - Coquitlam

Lafarge Lake, Coquitlam

Activity: Every year in June, the Track and Field club our family belongs to, attends the Coquitlam Cheetah's Track and Field Club meet at the Coquitlam Town Centre Park.  That's when we get a chance to visit Lafarge lake.  The five hectare lake is situated just north of Coquitlam Centre Shopping Mall, on Pinetree Way. Lafarge Lake is a man-made urban lake that used to be a gravel pit.  The lake was donated by the Lafarge Cement Company to the City of Coquitlam in the 1970's.  It's a pretty good place to unwind after a day of shopping with the kids at Coquitlam Centre Mall.  The Lake is stocked with Rainbow trout annually.

Details: Lafarge Lake is located at 1299 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam.  For information, call 604-927-3000.  Website: www.coquitlam.ca
